Axon Medical Group Signs MoU with IMU University to Bolster Digital Health Education and Career Opportunities

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – September 10, 2024 – Axon Medical Group (AMG) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the IMU University aimed at enhancing educational and career opportunities for students enrolled in the Bachelor in Digital Health (Hons) programme. This collaboration underscores Axon Medical’s commitment to supporting the next generation of digital health professionals and fostering innovation in the healthcare sector.

Under the terms of the MoU, Axon Medical Group will offer internship placements to IMU University’s students before or upon graduation, with the potential for permanent employment based on performance. The first cohort of interns is expected to commence their internships in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the partnership.

The collaboration extends beyond internships, offering students diverse opportunities in mobility, including elective placements, industrial and community placements, and research opportunities. This initiative is designed to provide students with practical, hands-on experience in the field of digital health, thereby enhancing their employability upon graduation.

As part of the agreement, Axon Medical will join the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) for the Bachelor in Digital Health (Hons) programme, providing valuable industry insights and ensuring that the curriculum remains aligned with the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.

The MoU also facilitates the exchange of academic and research materials between the two institutions. This will enable both Axon Medical and IMU University to share expertise and knowledge, enriching the teaching and learning experience for students and faculty alike.

In addition to these initiatives, Axon Medical will conduct career talks to present digital health as a promising career path for IMU University’s students. The company will also contribute to the academic environment by providing guest lecturers to share their industry expertise with students.

This partnership paves the way for additional academic and research collaborations, with both institutions committed to exploring further opportunities that align with their shared vision of advancing digital health education and practice.
